Introduction to mounting

As the Chinese saying goes, 30% of the beauty of a painting comes from the picture itself while 70% of it relies on mounting. Put it more specific, the best of a painting cannot be brought out until it has gone through mounting. The painting core itself fails to express the variance of ink and the originality of colors.

Mounted paintings consist of two types. One is the traditional winding shaft, otherwise known as finished product. Having been mounted by brocade and silk, a painting can highlight its dignity and can be directly hung on the wall. It is the best indoor decoration and a perfect present to friends and relatives.

The other type of mounting is mirror core used for mirror frame, otherwise known as lens. The painting core can be better preserved thanks to the protection of mirror frame. However, a mirror frame should be customized locally as transporting and packing mirror frame are difficult and expensive.
