Ma Bole
was born in 1942 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. He graduated
from the Suzhou Arts and Craft School in 1962. One of the
leading artists of the country, he is a member of the Chinese
Artists Association, a member of the Jiangsu Calligraphers
Association and vice-president of Suzhou Academy of Traditional
Chinese Painting. Ma is expert in traditional Chinese landscape
painting and figure painting. His painting works have been
collected by the China National Art Museum, the Jiangsu
Art Gallery and some overseas collectors. His works have
been shown in several national art exhibitions. He was awarded
for his excellent works at the 18th Japanese Ink and Wash
Painting Exhibition and has held solo shows in Malaysia,
Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong.
