Li Guijun was born in Beijing in 1964. He graduated from the middle school of the Central Arts Institute of China in 1984 and finished his undergraduate study in the institute in 1988. He also involved the postgraduate courses in the same institute and got a diploma in 1995.

He is teaching in the middle school of the institute. His works were featured on many large scale arts exhibitions both at home and abroad. He also held personal exhibitions in Singapore, Thailand, Belgium, Hong Kong and Taiwan. His collections of works-Opening the Door and A Season of Dreams, were published in Hong Kong.
