He Wenqing was born in Chongqing in 1970. He graduated from the Graphic Art Dept. of Sicuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1993 and studied later in the First Studio of Oil Paint ing Dept. of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1996. Many of his works have been selected for exhibitions and collected home and abroad. His painting work Sunsh ine Shone through the Window was selected for the Collection of Beijing Young Oil Painters in May 2000 and the Exhibition of Chinese Art Works in Media Circles in August 2000, and Outside the Window (Clouds in the Distance) was chosen for Today's Chinese Fine Arts in September 2000. His Collection of Character Sketch was published by Guangxi Publishing House of Fine Arts. He was also the editor of the Top Sketching Works of Modern Painters published with Huaxia Publishing House.
