Pilochun The Lake Tai region in Wu County of Jiangsu Province
is the home of Pilochun. It is a kind of fried green tea
and is made from the tender buds plucked from tea plants
in spring. To make 0.5 kg of high-grade Piluochun we need
60,000 to 70,000 buds, which proves the tenderness of
the tea buds. The fried tea leaves are tight and the pekoe
is obvious. Since the tea leaves are silver-green and
curl like a spiral shell, it gets the name of "Piluochun".
Pouring boiled water over the leaves, you will find white
clouds roll in the glass and the delicate fragrance assails
your nose. As a well-known high-quality tea of China,
Piluochun serves as a high-grade present.

Huang Shan Maofeng Grown in Huang Shan, Anhui Province,
Huang Shan Maofeng can mainly be found around Yungu Temple,
Songgu Nunnery, Diaoqiao Nunnery, Ciguang Pavilion and
Ban Temple on the Peach Blossom Peak. Because of the excellent
natural conditions-high mountain, dense forest, short
sunshine time and plenty of cloud and mist, tea plants
are nurtured by cloud and mist and are free from the attack
of cold and heat and therefore are of good quality. Huang
Shan Maofeng is plucked and processed extremely carefully.
The manufactured thin, flat and slightly curved Maofeng
tea leaves look like a sparrow's tongue and smell like
Bailan Flower. The tea has mellow flavour and sweet aftertaste.
Huang Shan boasts various kinds of famous tea. Besides
Maofeng there are "Tunlu" from Xiuning, "Houkui" from
Taiping and "Laozhudafang" from She County which have
different characteristics and have enjoyed great popularity.
