Born in 1951
in Xiamen, Fujian, Chen started studying art in 1978 under the instruction
of artist Ji Naijin. From 1990-91, he studied oil painting at the Art Education
School of Xiamen University. He is now an art designer at a company in Xiamen
and an artist at the Minnan Fine Arts Institute. Since 1986, he has been exhibiting
his modern calligraphy and oil painting across China.
